| Notes from Darin Cynicism, skepticism, jealousy and envy are the most energy draining emotions out there. Please do not fall into the trap of these thoughts and feelings.
It seems to be rampant in todays society to dwell on the negative. Just watch the news, or check out the headline of any newspaper at the newsstand. Just stand out on the corner at the bus stop and see where the conversation leads. I am not sure why this happens, other than we are born with a sinful nature and or negativity sells. I do not think that a newspaper, magazine, or TV program could make as much money or even stay in business for that matter, if the focused on the good things. I find it sickening that the norm wants to find the dirt, doubt, and enjoy in others misfortune.
One reason for this e-mail is that one of my clients who is highlighted on my testimonial link has an acquaintance that has been telling many people that she doubts that the testimonial is true and the before and after picture has been digitally altered using someone elses body. First off, I do agree that some of the before and after pictures and stats on my testimonial site are dramatic, but I guarantee that they are all genuine. Whenever you point the finger at someone else, there is always three pointing right back at you. Where most of the fingers are pointing is where you need to look. That is the source of the problem. This "doubting Thomas" is really limiting herself. She basically is never allowing herself to live a higher quality life through fitness.
It is human instinct to fall into this trap. I have done it in the past. I do it a lot less than I used to. If you want to be empowered beyond belief, start to see the good in everyone. Give little pick me ups to people you see. If fellow workers at the copy machine or coffee dispenser start gossiping just walk the other way. Take a stand! You will turn into who you hang around. It is that simple. So if you see me hanging around you, take it as a huge compliment. If you sew, you shall reap. If you don’t sew you shall weep.
Sincerely, Darin Steen
